Chubby Carrier is undeniably “The World's Premier Zydeco Showman.” Carrier brings his Bayou Swamp Band to Kansas after playing across the world and at big-time music festivals such as the New Orleans Jazz Fest, Chicago Blues Fest and the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis. Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band have recorded five CDs over the past 10 years including their last album, Live at Knuckleheads, recorded live in Kansas City. Featuring the Wichita Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Jay Decker. Richard Welsbacher will serve as Master of Ceremonies as the Wichita Symphony performs musical selections ranging from patriotic to Broadway. Special guests include the Wichita High School South Choir, Bradley Geer and Steve Frazier, conductors. The Orchestra will again be joined by the Kansas Army National Guard and the city carillon for the grand finale of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.
